Parenting Groups

What will work best for you?

  • Our community groups are designed for parents who would like to meet other new parents, and gain information on a number of topics relevant to their baby's age. Mum's, dad's, grandparents, and care givers are welcome to attend. Each adult pays an attendance fee for each session.

  • Our In-home groups are for those parents who already have a mother's group, or antenatal group who meet regularly. It's likely that you already get together at someone's house each week or fortnight, or go to the park with all the kids. But, you may not be getting up-to-date or relevant information for your children. We can come to you, in the comfort of your own home, or to your local park, and discuss topics of interest with you. Or even just have a general discussion about your concerns. Janelle is able to provide you with ideas and suggestions on what to try or do with your baby. This type of group has a set fee that is shared amongst the parents.

  • There are a large number of topics that can be discussed at both community and in-home groups. If there is something missing from the list that you would like to know more about, please let us know and we will organise appropriate information for you.

  • We can also come to your current playgroup or mother's group and do one off talks/discussions, or we can arrange a package deal.

  • Talk to us - we are happy to be flexible and work in with your requests and requirements.

  • Our groups are run by a highly qualified and experienced Child and Family Health Nurse who has been facilitating groups around the Sutherland Shire and St George areas for over 15 years.
